only to be kept geared up and primed for military responses to civilian ordeals.

Before 9/11 he attacked art and culture and tried to charge school children to go to school.

CNN BOYCOTT!!!!
On the January 31, 2007 edition of Paula Zahn Now, her Open Panel discussing why atheists are hated was heavily slanted towards theists who libeled and slandered us with hate filled rhetoric.
CNN did something that was very wrong here, and we need to get them to right the wrong. A tactic that has worked for other groups faced with similar situations is a boycott, and I think one is called for here. Let's tell CNN that they need to take steps to address the unfair and unbalanced way they treated atheists on that program, and that if they do not, we will boycott their advertisers. At a minimum, these steps should include: (1) a public apology for their failure to include atheists in a discussion about the treatment that atheists sometimes receive; and (2) a broadcast that re-examines this issue and that does include atheists in the discussion.

Dear Ms. Birkner, SUN reporter,
We, as non-supernaturalists, are neither afraid nor alone when reality is on our side but these are confused times with many scared and confused people.
Firstly, I think your membership numbers of the NYCA membership are incorrect. We are far more numerous everywhere, especially if all like minded groups are considered.
Also, atheists and allied organizations are growing rapidly while religious groups are distancing themselves and fracturing from extremists sects in America and dwindling. Those breaking American laws, veritable cultists, will be prosecuted. Many hope this includes our "president."
We are building communities of like-minded, mindful people, encouraged in knowing they are not alone and we are passionate and thoughtful. No manipulation or "coaxing" is needed. On the other hand, brain washing, mind napping and coercion are historical standards of religion, especially from religious extremists, cyclically, ad infinitum. We can break the cycle of ignorance and still be empassioned. It is a human trait not reserved for the "observant" or "pious."
We are not only here to stay but growing more rapidly, and are far less ignorant. There is nothing more reaffirming of life and humanity than reality. Science grows and strengthens in perpetuity, religion stagnates and hampers humanity.
Conscious people all over the world know this. The sleeping sheep may bay and persecute but we lead to the future. Extreme non-secularists, particularly Dominionists here, are sad and often sadistic and only condemn the mislead to the archaic past.

I am intrigued by the excess of Bush and Cheney's reaction
to the New York Times careful use of journalism.
This issue has been in the media for months (See William Fisher's article)
and other papers responsably reported on it too.
It is an obvious attack against dissent and corrective media.
Without oversight in government and rampent abuse
such coverage is essential and journalism's responsability.
I would surmise based on their typical serrepticitious method's
that this illigitamate administration is using the system to redirect funds
and blowing the whistle doesn't do much to international terrorists
because they know better
but looking closely at S.W.I.F.T. could reveal other transactions
like funds that benefit the administration and cronies,
and capacitate future illigalities.
Perhaps providing illegal tactical advantage to the Right.
Interesting place to look, S.W.I.F.T.
since they are sooooo perturbed about the "intrusion."
Parenthetically, about big money and Bush's financial ties,

Simply, No Alito.
This is much more simple than it sounds.
A judge must consider all law.
The foundation of a Supreme Court justice is the Constitution followed by concurrent precedent.
Nothing trumps the Constitution, laws inform and guide the original meaning and protections of the foundational document.
It is deliberately and appropriately difficult to change or add to the constitution.
Things we have added are there for very good reasons.
The few examples Alito gave were of new laws overturned, not constitutional amendments.
Teh constitution will be continually threatened and when new circumstances require it, it will need re-interpretation that makes it relevant to the moment.
It will never be obsolete, antiquated or "quaint".
We always hope to add to it if warranted, to make it stronger, for it is our foundation, but we can never whittle away at its basic protection of our freedoms.
One should not confused laws that followed being overturned and the negation of the essential protections provided by our predecessors in the Constitution.
A potential supreme court judge who claims Stare decisis will guide foremost before the provisions of the Constitution should not be a judge.
A supreme judge protects us from affronts to the constitution, and therefor affronts to our essential rights.
So lets follow his touted standard, although the majority of his decisions have been narrow interpretations and benefits organizations rather than individuals.
Can this judge be fair based on the precedent he has shown?
Or should we assume his title of "Judge" implies he is essentially and foundationally fair?
We don't question Alito's decency and honor,
although it would seem he has mislead the committee before
and is not forthcoming about his resume,
we question his bias and personal or associated agenda,
i.e. what seems an obvious Bushite agenda.
If he is confirmed we are really doomed.
The only thing we have left is to vote as many of them out in 2006.
The next 25 years will erode our constitution until it is another document altogether.
Next stop, begging your states for freedom. The federal government is hog tied.

Deliberate negligence
by an elected official leading to mass death

I abhor the barbaric policy of the Death Penalty

Hi Jerry,
I have called in before but am too overwhelmed. These catastrophic events have put many citizens in a state of shock and anger, unless they have no longer have a voice. We are too appalled and disgusted to conceptualize what is to be done. Fear and silencing should not stop us from preserving freedom and stopping tyrants, even ones who use the ˆ£daftˆ§ excuse to justify the deliberate allowance of calamity. So we should keep it simple.
Bush must resign or be removed from office, by all and any legal means.
After we, the citizenry, help those who survived through this our worst, fully forewarned, natural disaster and deliberate neglect by the administration, we need a immediate top down flushing out of these inept and dangerous (anti-) leaders.
Bush must resign. If not it is cause for a serious concerted, non-seditous, national action to have him removed legally. And it only starts there.
Those who lived and were displaced are now in red territory where their citizenship and vote can be further marginalized and ignored. Watch it happen.
This is the most inhuman and inhumane event in recent world history beside lying and putting honorable soldiers in harms way for personal gain. It is being internationally witnessed.
This level of neglect is S.O.P. for Republicans. Example, Giuliani had a policy to save money in New York, their test bed for usurpation of a democratic mecca. Nothing was fixed during his reign (i.e. potholes or parks, etc.) without prior notice of the problem to government, and no liability was allowed unless this prior reporting was made. This event is another test bed for destroying opposition naturally, as opposed to by lying and corruption of the system, and blaming others while justifying military actions against American citizenry. ˆ£Preemptiveˆ§ redefined blitzkrieg, media has been mobilized and controled without labeling it classic propaganda and now military actions by seasoned soldiers against American citizens is being justified and normalized. Watch for more of this happen.
Now an already depressed demographic of our population was ignored and neglected to death because they claimed no one asked ahead of time for federal support.
Bush flew around waiting prepping his John Wayne swagger and false smile. His gain was to displace many poor, incapacitated African Americans who had not voted for him anyway. The Southern opposition to him is sacred and daunted, for some are dead and others permanently displaced and disoriented. His message is clear. As Bush et al. have revealed their policy, to paraphrase, you are either for or against them, and If against, you are without worth, or at least not worth protecting or defending. Opposition will be left for dead.
His policy of destruction and diligent media damage control allows any advantageous destruction, as long as the administration's public image is maintained.
Ignorance and misinformation to his Bushite machine of red voting sheep maintain a smug and vigilant ignorance that capacitates neglectful (non-) actions to diminish and now, wipe out the scapegoated opposition.
Neglect at this level has never been a more clear impeachable action. A policy of inaction is not an excuse for mass deaths, obscuring responsibility, lack of accountability by those in charge. Bush is the one who is ultimately accountable. He has proven his policy of negligence and ineptness. In fact he celebrates it. These pervert of freedom must be held accountable and purged.

President Bush has announced his plan to select Dr. W. David Hager to head up the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory committee. The committee has not met for more than two years, during which time its charter lapsed. As a result, the Bush Administration is tasked with filling all eleven positions with new members. This position does not require Congressional approval. The FDA's Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory Committee makes crucial decisions on matters relating to drugs used in the practice of obstetrics, gynecology and related specialties, including hormone therapy, contraception, treatment for infertility, and medical alternatives to surgical procedures for sterilization and pregnancy termination.
Dr. Hager is the author of "As Jesus Cared for Women: Restoring Women Then and Now." The book blends biblical accounts of Christ healing women with case studies from Hager's practice. His views of reproductive health care are far outside the mainstream for reproductive technology. Dr. Hager is a practicing OB/GYN who describes himself as "pro-life" and refuses to prescribe contraceptives to unmarried women.
In the book Dr. Hager wrote with his wife, entitled "Stress and the Woman's Body," he suggests that women who suffer from premenstrual syndrome should seek help from reading the bible and praying. As an editor and contributing author of "The Reproduction Revolution: A Christian Appraisal of Sexuality Reproductive Technologies and the Family," Dr. Hager appears to have endorsed the medically inaccurate assertion that the common birth control pill is an abortifacient.
We are concerned that Dr. Hager's strong religious beliefs may color his assessment of technologies that are necessary to protect women's lives or to preserve and promote women's health. Hager's track record of using religious beliefs to guide his medical decision-making makes him a dangerous and inappropriate candidate to serve as chair of this committee.
Critical drug public policy and research must not be held hostage by antiabortion politics. Members of this important panel should be appointed on the basis of science and medicine, rather than politics and religion.
There is something you can do. Below is a statement to be sent to the White House opposing the placement of Hager.

I was sick for two days with a flu or food thing but I cannot be deterred from voting.
Today Bush will lose. I voted this morning at 6:45. The booth was locked. I waited for the booth to be unlocked rather than use the affidavit.
Everyone was nice and answered my questions about the booth being locked. They are supposed to check all the machines the day before to make sure they are working. Silly that they did not have the key to turn it on.
Although I trust NYC as opposed to Florida or Ohio, where votes are being lost and psychopaths are contesting legitimate voters because they are black or do not speak english well. There are no receipts given for affidavits in NYC. I would be worried since Republicans have set a new standards for cheating and illegalities against the constitution. Receipts should be manditory.
My district is mainly democratic but Westchester has some nasty Republicans. Beware the threats and manipulations. Just be strong and vote. It's your correct expression of citizenship.
Election day, on leap year, should be a national holiday. Celebrate Freedom. Vote.

Mandatory draft for boys and girls (ages 18-26)
starting June 15, 2005, is something that everyone should know about.
This literally effects everyone since we all have or know children
that will have to go if this bill passes.
There is pending legislation in the house and
senate (companion bills: S89 and HR 163) which will time the
program's initiation so the draft can begin as early as spring, 2005,
just after the 2004 presidential election. The administration is
quietly trying to get these bills passed now, while the public's
attention is on the elections, so our action on this is needed
immediately. Details and links follow.
This plan, among other things, eliminates higher
education as a shelter and includes women in the draft. Also,
crossing into Canada has already been made very difficult.

If this bill passes, it will include all men and
ALL WOMEN from ages 18 - 26 in a draft for military action. In
addition, college will no longer be an option for avoiding the draft
and they will be signing an agreement with the Canada which will no
longer permit anyone attempting to dodge the draft to stay within
it's borders. This bill also includes the extention of military
service for all those that are currently active. If you go to the
selcet service web site and read their 2004 FYI Goals you will see
that the reasoning for this is to increase the size of the military
in case of terrorism. This is a critical piece of legislation, this
will effect our undergradates, our children and our grandchildren.
Please take the time to write your congressman and let them know how

(and permanent state of war on terrorism) proves accurate, the U.S.
may have no choice but to draft.

the declaration involves a 30 point plan which implements, among

education as a shelter. Underclassmen would only be able to postpone
service until the end of their current semester. Seniors would have
until the end of the academic year.

Our Government and Businesses as repositories for political influence and propaganda. Not life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (presumed freely available and accessible to it's citizens). There is an impedous of power to define as many citizens, as not, toward a negation of opposition, as if unaware, unaccountable. If "our" government wanted our advice they would ask us for it, so they don't want to do what most of us ask. We're still asking and won't stop. Bush reads the cue cards, Cheney calls most of the shots (Rumsfeld perhaps as well) and Colin realizes he's playing with dolts in a house of cards, in hopes of looking better later by contrast. Ashcroft is downright delusional. Bush has set a standard of hiring some of the worst psychos in our history to work to his un-american ends. Not to mention so many sick congresspeople of the right, like Santorum. Bush and his ilk should be tried as a criminals, traitors and conspirators, as any who overthrow governments by lying and cheating. Praise those who speak what they see and feel. Praise the Dixie Chicks and others like Michael Moore. Another whom Americans can be proud of.

I'm gonna go out and buy their album and I don't even prefer Country Music. I'm going to buy all of Michael Moore's film work! Because people like G.W. Bush jr. can't even comprehend what it really means to be an American. But the Dixie Chick's sing from their American hearts, hearts that are breaking as Bush rapes our ideals. Real Americans should buy Dixie Chick albums because they point to what's (we hope temporarily) really wrong with America! Our allowing Bush to think he really won! In 2000 we all lost what America really stands for, truth and justice. And people are dying because of his mutilation of it now all over the world. It would be nice if we brought peace, justice and freedom to the world that knows it not, by peace, justice and freedom. Unfortunately Bush has corrupted these terms to mean war, deception and profiteering. That is no surprise to those who are not blind (deaf and dumb) because that is all he has ever shown us with his "executive" skills.
But watch out, honest and heart broken Americans! This administration may arrest or kill any who oppose them eventually...for now it's immediate media smear tactics. Wait, they have already started arresting people, spraying wooden and rubber bullet and throwing tear gas at protesting citizens.
Oh yeah and if you plan any constitutionally guaranteed dissent, don't ride in any small aircraft without black boxes...

Dear Congressman John Conyers, I would like to help in any way to Impeach "our" President and have been insisting on it since he flagrantly manipulated everything to take the presidency in 2000. That is, the Supreme court, Florida's legislature and laws and several other states tallying of votes, Where does the distinction between conspiracy to usurp a country and it's constitution by abuse of it's laws and electoral system (treason by any reasonable standard) and appropriate political protocol lie? We have the answers in what is now the history of an installed dictatorial puppet fascist president who is sub-par by all standards of "presidential." We should be ashamed for what he has done to freedom and democracy world wide, and especially the damage here. My web site has been asking for his impeachment since 2000. George Orwell predicted the atrocities of 1984 but it came a few years later. Now it's the Republicans (& Conservatives) and the Corporations (conglomerates, monopolies, like phone and oil companies etc.) that want to change our constitution and redefine "inalienable" to mean, "what we are allowed to do." rather than what are our rights and are historically protected. All to maintain large profits. There is fear of change and of new powers forming. It is the fear of the future overwhelming the past. But it is no different than any other historical period of flux. Can you hear the very fabric of our culture and civilization tearing? Our very foundations are at risk here. Protect the rights of citizen's or we are not The United States of America anymore. H.R. 1542 and Rep. Tauzin are misguided and serving private and corporate interests, not American citizen's. It is the standard of those who usurped our electoral process and our white house. Never let them prevail and they will be gone in four years with their reputations and souls, hopefully not with our constitution, inalienable rights and humane history.

Who do these polls ask anyway? NBC's polls seem more plausible. Others are way off, trying to leverage public opinion with biased sampling. I can guarantee that all hope of veracity of Bush and his "cabinet" has dwindled with people who can think around his perpetual rhetoric. A growing number of Americans, now well in excess of 50% of the country, will contest everything he does if he takes the office of presidency, without a careful and lawful consideration of voting bias in Florida. Why not ask, "Are we loosing patience with Bush, refuting a lawful recount at every turn?" Bush is setting a standard that the legislative branch can ignore the judicial and refute law to it's gain. What do you think the net result will be with a president and a cabinet really making the decisions, that have shown no respect for our laws, or even our most basic expression, votes? Why do you think a rich, political family from Texas would position the younger son in a state with 25 electoral votes? Jeb has worked hard for years, entrenching a Republican governorship and legislature, to keep Florida "in their pocket." They have delayed and refuted a lawful counting, relied on paid protestors to intimidate and possibly threaten, and ridiculed tens of thousands of citizens who cast a vote that was not recognizable by machines, knowing full well that hand counts are then preferred. Now Bush would hope that public opinion would accept him as a rightful president, when all indications show he and his have been pathologically wrongful. American's who are not foolish or blindly accepting, are asking, what else is the Bush camp capable of? The world is asking, recognizing the strange Bush mix of anarchy, dictatorship, and self-righteousness, "Is this the new man with his finger on the button and hand in the cash box?" Patience is the least we can do to insure that all votes, rightfully cast, are counted and, the proper and verifiable president is in office. Although all attention is on Florida, a review of all states, in such a close election should be considered. We should be especially critical of those votes mailed in, especially those from foreign lands, because we cannot be assured that partisans here and foreign powers would not attempt the illegal influence of our electoral process. A swift resolution is only beneficial to the Bush side not America as a whole and it's true justice. This is not the Subway series or the final episode of Survivor. The time must be spent to secure a national confidence in the results of this election, or the next four years will be stagnated. Careful, not timely resolve is needed. Our nation is secure with President Clinton, confidence is high here and abroad. This review should not be rushed. Since Florida is in contention and would decide either sides victory. Misrepresentation and accuracy should be reviewed in Tennessee as well, since that state wields enough Electoral votes to decide a victory as well.
