Project: Contact
Join Us for an Out-of-This-World Experience!
The future. A probe has returned to Earth with an intelligible message from the stars. How would we answer it? This teacher/student workshop will explore the scenario surrounding a "First Contact" with an alien species. Using hands-on techniques, scientific methodology, imagination, and role playing, we will explore possibilities for interstellar travel and the ingredients for the development of intelligent life on another planet. Full mission training and mentoring by members of the Space Frontier Society of New York's Education Committee make for an enlightening experience not soon forgotten.
