Here is your chance to see New York City, on your own or with other space enthusiasts, at budget prices!
The Grand Hyatt is nestled between two NYC landmarks--Grand Central Terminal and the Chrysler Building. Here are just some of the world-famous landmarks within walking distance or a short cab or subway ride from the hotel:

ISDC'96 is being run by New Yorkers, so we'll be giving you lots of information about the real New York. We'll tell you where to eat at reasonable prices (including terrific restaurants and great ethnic eateries), the best of discount shopping, theaters, live music, free events, museums (from the world famous to the little known), cultural attractions, and interesting areas you would never hear about otherwise.
We'll be sponsoring organized tours of NYC sights throughout the conference, and providing assistance to small groups of attendees to go out on their own city explorations.
For those on a budget, there's inexpensive dining within steps of the hotel. With plentiful cabs, buses, and subways, you can get just about anywhere in the City cheaply and quickly. There's even relatively inexpensive (about $10/day) parking not far from the hotel for those coming in by car.
