Subdued sunlight masked by fog. Afternoon. A collection of adult Lessers, none of which look like the classic graellsii. Most have gray mantles in the medium to dark range for graellsii. The last is clearly an intermedius, and D almost certainly is. NB: by "intermedius" I mean the well known subspecies of Larus fuscus. I don't know where these birds hatched. Holland? Greenland? Who knows?
Bird D Mantle shade and state of molt indicate intermedius.
Bird P Almost dark enough for an intermedius.
Bird I Clearly an intermedius.
