I met Claudia often on Hatteras Christmas Counts. Later, I well remember several conversations I had with her when I was trying to figure out the gulls I had seen in Portugal.
Thanks to the efforts of Lola Oberman and S. Harvey Mudd, I am privileged to present here some of the many photographs found in the possession of Claudia at her death. More will be added in the months ahead. Some of these were taken by Claudia but most were not. They were sent to her at various times by people around the world. If I have misattributed any of these images, or the photographers wish them to be removed from here, please let me know. I am also unclear as to the exact location of some of the South American sites named below; help would be appreciated.

A beautiful evocative photograph taken by Claudia in 1971. I have used a pastel version as the backdrop for this web page.
