Locating and installing
DVD Decrypter, 3GP.and Apple Quicktime
Step 1.
You’ll need a copy of DVD Decrypter you can find this at www.dvddecrypter.com
Step 2.
Download a copy of 3GP this is the program that will convert your .vob file to
a MPEG4 file that the PSP can read. Get the latest version of 3GP at http://www.nurs.or.jp/~calcium/3gpp/.
Step 4.
Locate and download the latest version of Apple Quicktime from www.apple.com (VERY IMPORTANT)
Step 3
Install Quicktime, 3GP and DVD Decrypter on your computer.
Modifications to DVD Decrypter (after you’ve installed DVD Decrypter you need to do some minor tweaks to it).
Step 1.
Open DVD Decrypter
Step 2. Go
to “Mode” then choose “IFO”.
Step 3. Go
to “Tools” then choose “IFO” Mode you’re screen should look like the one below.
Step 4.
Close DVD Decrypter.

Step 1.
Drop your favorite DVD into your DVD drive.
Step 2.
Open up DVD Decrypter.
Step 3. DVD
Decrypter should have already recognized your DVD, if not choose the correct
drive.
Step 4. It should look something like the screen below. (DVD Decrypter will automatically find the movie)

Step 6.
Click on Stream Processing
Step 7.
Click the check box marked “Enable Stream Processing”.
Step 8.
Uncheck the boxes that you don’t need for your backup.

Step 9.
Press the DVD/Hard Drive image.
Step 10.
Kick back and let DVD Decrypter do what it does best.
Step 11. Listen for DVD Decrypter to Finish.
Step 1.
Open 3GP
Step 2
Choose the correct bitrate for your particular Memorystick., I use the one
below (the purpose of different bitrates is for compression reasons).
Step 3.
Choose the Output Directory by clicking on select (I usually create a
folder called PSP Movies).

Step 4. Locate the .vob file you created with DVD Decrypter then drag and drop it into the 3GP converter box.

Step 5. Wait for 3GP to convert your .vob file to a MPEG4 file.
Step 6. Your completed backup should look something like the one below.
Step 7. You’ll notice that there are two files the 3GP in this directory an .MP4 file and a .THM file. The purpose of the .THM file is to show what movie you’re looking at once you’ve transferred it to the PSP, you can ether delete this file or keep it.

Finally what I’d do before I
put the final backup on the PSP is to test the playback on Quicktime to make
sure the movie is in synch or not.

March 24th prior to the release of the PSP with that stated let it
be known that I have not transferred any files to a PSP as of yet. I am looking
