What I am doing with my time these days?


Here is a round-up of the projects that are the most recent.

Harvest Ceremony, Native American Perspectives on the Thanksgiving Myth is an educational piece commisioned by the National Museum of the American Indian, a branch of the Smithsonian Institute. It is running for 7 weeks to sold out audiences throughout October and November at the George Gustav Heye Center in the Old Customs House, located at 1 Broadway.

One More Time is a new musical produced by Paul Vance and Sandy Gail Stewart. Book by Mr Vance and Martin Roth, Music and Lyrics by Paul Vance, Jack Segal Eddie Snyder and Sandy Gail Stewart. (Between them, this team has written such hits as "Itsy Witsy Teeny Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini", "Strangers in The Night", and many others, including 30 recorded by Johnny Mathis, Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, and others.  Directed and Choreographed by Bert Michaels who appeared in the filmsof  Gypsy and West Side Story, and many times on Broadway. Scene Designer Sal Perotta and I will be collaborating on our 6th production with this effort, running at the Theatre Row Theatre from Nov 20th to 30th. Laura Belle is getting busy with parties this time of year. I have become the de facto resident lighting designer there, and am currently spec'ing extensive upgrades to the lighting system, as well as handling numerous small functions and parties as they come up. The biggest thing for this season seems like it will be a party/presentation for Caesar's Palace that we are hosting there, with a fairly complex lighting rig, including moving lights and followspots for a show that features 4 singer/dancers. I am production managing that event also, coordinating Audio, Video, Staging  and Lighting Vendors.
