This desert floor, dry wash, hill sculpture is called. Fonts Point and is also in the Borego Springs desert. I chose it to represent stringed instruments because I imagine that if a bow which is played across the strings were to leave tracks behind its path of travel, it would carve out formations like this. The light here is high noon.
