Take this wind

That touches everything -
plays maypole with forgotten leaves,
howls like a pack of a thousand wolves,
cradles a single dandelion,
blows sand dunes
	across coastal highways in Monterey,
caresses rich and poor alike,
kisses your face,
and ruffles the cloth that, some day, will cover you.

Take this wind
that touches everything.
