At hand

It's here, happiness, in front of you
in your hand as you run it over rough stones or
	a smooth desk.
But, you can't.
For you and everyone else,
it lies in what you don't have
(but doesn't make you happy once you have it.)
Only the crazy ones,
like crazy Mindy,
running her open hand along the length of any wall
	she passed,
find happiness in what is before them,
find happiness in their hands.
