vocation
"To learn a vocation, you also have to learn the frauds it practices and the promises it breaks."
Mason Cooley

My professional life is composed of organization, facilitation and communication.

information architect
For the last five years I've spent it as an Information Architect. A profession who's activities are time honored, but in the era of new media, finally given a title. Although the community of practitioners can't agree on the specific title or the specific activities. I don't mind the lack of definition - it means if I have an idea, no one can say I'm breaking rules.
consultant
The other aspect to my vocation is consulting. I love it. The thrill of meeting a new client team, learning about their needs and goals and then working with them toward a solution. And yes, I said work with. I follow the adage of "trusted advisor."
