After moving around the world as
a military brat, I have found my home in New York City.
I've been here since 1997 and don't plan on leaving.
I started out on the Lower East Side. It's history of housing
immigrants was the perfect place for me to get my start. When I
first arrived, there was still a flavor of the Eastern European
Jews who have been associated with the area for the last 100 years.
Here's a snowy viewfrom my window.
At the economy boomed, the immigrants were pushed out. Eventually,
I left too. Like those before me, I moved to the burbs: Brooklyn!
Caroll Gardens has a solid working class history and is full of
families. It is a wonderful resbit from my work in the City.
