After nearly 20 hours of endless climbing, we finally reached the village of Kyangjin Gompa, near the border of Tibet and Nepal. Two hours of more climbing later, we reached this viewpoint, which is some 4500 meters above sea level (nearly three miles high). The Himalayan peaks encircled us. I guess it was worth it. My knees still disagree.
