We camped at nKwasi, which is 20 km from Rundu, Namibia, on the Kavango River. Just across that river from camp is Angola. One evening we took a decadent and highly illegal "trip" to Angola on some pontoon boats. This little boy happened to be on the opposite bank.

Appreciating this picture is easier if you understand that--put succinctly--Angola has not historically been an easy place to live. I think that if you do your own research into that statement and then return to this photo later, you'll see a lot more in this little boy's face than you saw the first time.
